To obtain an apostille issued by the office of Tre Hatgett, Tennessee Secretary of State, please follow the guidelines:

Document issued or certified by the State Registrar (Department of Health) County Clerks will be acceptable for apostille

Considerations for notarized documents please ensure the notary provides you with a complete notarization including stamp, signature, date and notarial act (otherwise known as jurat)
Please note that after the notarization the document needs to be certified by the County Clerk where the notary is registered before it will be acceptable for apostille.

Considerations for vital records: certified copies issued by the office of vital records that have a raised seal and signed by Teresa S Hendricks State Registrar will be acceptable for apostille.
